Holy Spirit come with power

Some teachers teach that after you are born again, you receive the Holy Spirit, and then you will receive the anointing; but it’s wrong. Anointing comes with the Holy Spirit. In the New Testament, we have the same Holy Spirit, and the same anointing, because the anointing we have is the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power…”; that’s the same Holy Spirit and power Jesus referred to in. It is the same power, and the same Holy Spirit that Jesus had and we also have today. So, when you have the Holy Spirit in you, you have all the power you need.

Luke 1:35 lets us get into the dialogue between the angel Gabriel and Mary. The angel said to Mary, “… The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee….” Some people have read this and ran off with the idea that the Spirit comes into you first, and then His power or anointing comes next, but they are wrong. The two expressions point to the same thing.

The power of the highest overshadowing Mary is as a result of the Holy Ghost coming upon her. In the Old Testament, He “came upon” them; in the New Testament, He lives in us. That’s why Jesus said you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost comes, because the Holy Ghost comes with the power.

Holy Ghost is the power of God. With the Holy Spirit, you don’t lack any power or ability; He is your ability. He’s everything you need, and has everything you need to fulfil God’s purpose, and walk in His perfect will for your life.
