REMEMBER ME, O LORD | 10% to @heartchurch
When the Lord remembers a good promise He has made concerning a person, the person is in for a wonderful surprise. If we read Genesis 8:1, we will discover that the Lord remembered Noah and every living thing with him in the ark. When the Lord remembers His mercy, He put away judgment, provided the person has truly repented.
Another wonderful thing about this remembrance from above for salvation is that the process is simple. You only need to true repentance from evil to godliness and we can see In Luke 19:8, Zacchaeus demonstrated this. Immediately after, the Lord Jesus said salvation had come to him and his household.
How wonderful would it be, if every unsaved soul would cry to the Lord Jesus now and tell the Lord to remember them for Your salvation? When the Lord remembers the good deeds of a person, the person is in for a celebration. Just like Nehemiah asked the Almighty God to remember his good deeds of building the broken wall of Jerusalem and repairing the gate that was destroyed by the foes of God’s people.
It was the good deeds of Abraham, according to Psalm 105:42, that earned his lineages the mercies of the Most High God. The Lord always remembers the good deeds of His children.
Since the Almighty God can't forget the good deeds of His children, it is only wise to begin and continue doing good. Nehemiah could only be bold to ask the Lord to remember him for his labor in the light of the fact that he had done good deeds concerning the house of God. What will the Almighty God remember you for: Is it good deeds or acts of wickedness?
