3. M = Maintain Your Relationship With The Body Of Christ.

Colossians 1:18 (NIV)

And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

God knew what He was saying when He instructed us never to forsake the gathering of His people. Christianity is not a call for isolation and God knew this which was why the Bible said He sets the solitary in families. God wants the best for us and He knew when we come together we can achieve so much more.

A lot of people think they can just stay on their own and practice Christianity and as good as that may sound, we need other Christians to grow and also to get support as we are also giving support. This is what stands the Jews out. They have a unified brotherhood that makes them consult with each other anytime a building materials is to be bought or a job needs to be done. They find who can do it amongst themselves so the wealth can flow amongst them too.

Apart from the physical thing we can gain from fellowshipping together we can also grow spiritually too. We can ask other brethren to join hands and pray with us. We can also work on our weaknesses and fellowshipping together helps to achieve these.

The Body of Christ is a divine relationship with Jesus Christ. Christ's body is a living, moving entity. Stay close to the church.

Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against His church. Follow His commands and fellowship with other brethren. The devil try to thrive on expanding our weaknesses and other believers can help you overcome them and strengthen you in the areas of your weaknesses. You are part of the Body of Christ, you must be part to make it whole.

Do you need healing or a miracle, then get the body to pray for you. Whatever you need, you can find in the Body of Christ which is why it is essential to get yourself a Bible believing Church because it goes a long way to strengthen the victory you have in Jesus.

We are in Him and He is in us. We are also seated together. We are to reign as priests and kings before His throne. We're in the world but not of this world.

4. I = Identify Your Enemy.

How can you win a battle if you don't know who you are fighting? The devil is subtle. The devil will make you think someone else is against you to make you develop bitterness in your heart that won't even make you pray it allow your prayers to be heard. He is subtle but not smart. The devil is behind anything evil and when someone hurts you, that person was only an agent used by the devil but the devil is still responsible for it.

You'll never have victory if you don't learn to identify your enemy. It's not your husband, nor your employer, nor people in your church, but it is the devil that you are dealing with, not people. That's the reality we need to face so we can stop praying amiss.

John 10:10 (NIV)

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Christ wants us to have dominion. In this verse your enemy is identified and your benefactor. Battles are not natural, they are spiritual. We need to take the battle to our vantage point. When the eagles catches a prey it takes it up to where it has advantage so when the devil strikes, let us take the battle to the spiritual warfront too because that is where we are at an advantage.

We want to try to battle them by world principles but the devil will laugh in your face and keep you in fear and in turmoil because he has masked it and diverted your attention away from him. Take your weapons out and show him who you are because you have the victory in Jesus.

We must remind the devil that he is defeated, that Jesus already won the battle, and that truth and knowledge of His word gives us the victory. We need to walk in the realization of this truth.

Colossians 2:15 (NIV)

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

Sort:

The church is the body of Christ, and no member of the human body works in isolation. Though the systems may differ, they still work towards the bigger picture. Hence as Christians, although we may belong to different organizations, we are still one body. The body of Christ. We need fellowship to grow spiritually and physically.

Exactly, my brother.

Excellent post @olawalium, to start the week, every day we face things that need to be paid close attention.

Very correct.
