Living Unto The Lord

2Co 5:15 KJV And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

The coming of Jesus to earth was for a purpose but for the purpose to be accomplished he needed to go through all the things he suffered in other to satisfy his Father's desire. God creating man was not for fun or to show his creation but it was that man will represent him on earth and live in fellowship and absolutely dependently on him but the opposite happened. Instead of man to live in obedience to the Lord by putting to death their fleshly desires they were living in the satisfaction of lust of the flesh. All these were possible because of the act of disobedience portrayed in the garden of Eden by Adam. It was ordained man will live by spirit in other to live for God but the disobedience of Adam hindered that and man was living by his soul, hence the self ruled him instead of God.

To get rid of this God came in the human form to die and rise again so that he can put an end to this for his purpose to be seen. The end of his death and resurrection is that man now will no longer live unto but rather unto God.

This is suppose to be the lifestyle of the believer, we don't live unto ourselves. That is to say that we are no more to live according to our wills and desires. We have been bought with a price and like servants we seek to please our master. We are to deny ourselves and live outrightly for the Lord, as the Apostle Paul puts it we have died with our old self through so that we may live unto the Lord.

Beloved in Christ let your focus and purpose be to please our Lord Jesus who gave himself for us. Let us offer ourselves a living sacrifice for him and live unto his glory.
