The Battle Is The Lord's (The Fight Between David And Goliath)

Peace be unto you all.

I am glad to come your way with this exhortation concerning the battle between David and Goliath. The bible speaks about the battle that broke out between Israel and Philistine. The champion of the Philistines named Goliath came out for forty days to cast reproach upon the people of Israel and all of them were gripped with fear because they literally forgot the God that was with them.

Then David came into the seen when he was sent by his father to deliver some things to his brothers. When he reached there and understood everything that was going on there he decided to fight this champion of the Philistines. David made a very powerful statement which I love. "......for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" This shows that David was ready to fight but not by his strength but by the strength of God and by that mentality he was able to kill Goliath.

Although Goliath was wearing a bronze helmet but the stone was able to sunk into his forehead. This is only the doing of the Lord. David before fighting Goliath made a remarkable statement: "Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. David fought in the name of the Lord. It was the Lord that fought, he was only an instrument through whom God fought. He was aware of this before approaching Goliath. Another statement was: "And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands."

Beloved in the Lord what ever battle you are experiencing in your life today don't worry neither fight it by your strength. Leave it to the Lord through prayer and believe in Him. He will fight all your battles for you for the battle is still the Lord's.
