Welcome to the HeartChurch Venezuela Blog

Dear Community, today we want to give a tour of the new HeartChurch Project in Venezuela, which is marking a before and after in the lives of several families, and our greatest wish is to be able to share a little of this experience, carried out with great dedication, the future plans as well as the adoption of this activity of sustainability and supply in communities.

Project Name: Chicken Farms

Executive Summary:

The economic situation of some countries such as Venezuela makes it necessary to look for new alternatives that will produce significant changes in the family produce significant changes in the economy of the family and generate income to improve living conditions.
According to the preliminary market study, the feasibility of the business is good. Ninety-four percent of the Venezuelan population consumes chicken, and there is sufficient demand for fresh ready-to-prepare chicken.

The project's product differentiation is based on the freshness of the chicken delivered to the customer's home, the way it is raised and fattened, which gives it a unique and preferred flavor. The amount of kilos that can be produced and sold is sufficient to achieve financial profitability in the short term, thus benefiting children, the elderly and the general population, strengthening families.

We will start looking for sheds already built in communities that can house the amount of chickens to be produced per production batch, with the food management required for poultry.
The product will be presented at points of sale with a seal containing origin data in order to demonstrate the competence and quality of the product.

BACKGROUND

Free-range family poultry production in rural areas of Venezuela is a tradition in backyards and a strategic element for food security due to its potential contribution of high biological value protein. This group is adapted to live in contact with the soil and obtain, through foraging and gathering, a series of food resources. From there, we began to create a mini poultry farm that would allow us to commercialize poultry, and that this, in turn, would help us to supply the canteens Bread From Heaven.

Project Description

The project has two well-defined phases: first, the production of the broiler chicken, and second, the distribution of the chickens in the community.

Broiler Production

Broiler production will initially be carried out in sheds or community spaces. We currently have several spaces so that we can produce the 250 chicks per fortnight that are currently in demand.
These sheds will be equipped with a home-made heating system for chicks from 1 to 2 weeks of age, an automatic heating system for the chicks, and an automatic heating system for the chicks from 1 to 2 weeks of age.
2 weeks old chicks, a feeding system and a drinking system, which will allow for better control of chick diseases, a reduction in costs due to the optimal use of the cost reduction due to optimal use of resources, especially feed, and to achieve market and reaching market weights in the required time.

Distribution

There is currently an adequate site for the manual slaughter and packaging of chickens. This space requires equipment, such as larger coolers, work tables, automatic plucking machines, and throat cutters, so that the work can be done more efficiently, in less time, and improve the quality of the product delivered.

Technical Analysis of Production

The people in charge of this first phase have experience in the production, slaughter and distribution of broiler chicken in chicken in Venezuela, so the Project is considered technically feasible. In addition, this will facilitate the disinfusion and orientation for the other communities that are encouraged to participate in the project.

Economic social impact

The Project maintains 8 people with jobs, which generates a social benefitimportant economic in these families. In addition to the nutritional contribution it makes in the community, part of these resources are also destined to supply the children's kitchens that for now feed 150 children weekly. For all the above, it is considered that the project has economic sustainability and Social.

Risks

1.-A drop in the current demand for chickens, although the forecast is an increase in the herself. The drop in demand is a possibility that should not be ignored.
2.- Decrease or fall in the price of chicken.
3.- Sudden increase in production costs.

Contributions

The organization provides the existing infrastructure: Slaughterhouse, sheds, electricity, water, land. As well as the administration of the project.
