Hello everyone. It feels good to be here. Welcome to my blog and today we are going to be looking at a topic titled Looking unto Jesus

Sometimes in life, we are faced with difficult situations and challenges that seems threatening to our lives. Ugly situations that are beyond what we can bear and some of which we have tried to seek for the right solution. We often try to hide what we are going through from the outside world all because of what we seem to have been going through. The right solution to these challenges is to fix our gaze on JESUS CHRIST. These situations and challenges are meant to distract us from the author and finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:2-3.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Looking unto Jesus means looking away from all distractions and hindrances that comes out ways. This includes our challenges and life threatening struggles and situations. I am not saying that we ought to shy away from the reality of life. We should instead look and fix our gaze on JESUS while we pass through the phase of life. We are encouraged to focus our attention on Jesus. In Jesus, we have our absolute confidence in God. He started the Faith race therefore, we must look into him. Not only did he started it, he also ended it. Because we are believers, we do not walk by sight but by faith. Hence, we must trust the pioneer and Pathfinder of faith. JESUS went through it too. Yes! That challenge that seems overwhelming. That situation that seems unpleasant. Jesus went through it all despite having the power not to go through it, he did went through it for the complete work of salvation. That was the joy of the father. He delights in the saving of the soul that the enemy wants to destroy. A lot of sacrifices need to be made and Jesus was a perfect. The Bible says that Jesus saw the joy ahead and this made him endure the pain and despise the shame.

To look into Jesus means to cry unto God for help.

Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

No matter what comes your way, no matter the challenges, no matter the troubles,. Look unto JESUS. Talk to him about it. He is ever ready to deliver you from that trouble. You might wanna ask the question, why do I need to look unto JESUS?
Well, the answer is simple. You need to look into JESUS because he is the only one that can save.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

When you look into Jesus, he will sure deliver you from all your troubles Troubles are meant to distract us from fixing our gaze on JESUS.

HOW CAN WE LOOK UNTO JESUS?

First, you have to surrender your life to Jesus by declaring and confessing him as your LORD and savior. The implication is thus, that you have chosen not to rule and drive your life all by yourself. What you affirm and choose to live by is the leading of the LORD. It will take a man who has been regenerated to come into this reality. You can only look unto JESUS when you are born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

You can look unto JESUS by praying and studying the word of God.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The greatest encounter one can have is through and by the word of God. The word of God is potent enough to see us through life's difficulties and challenges.
