Hi everyone. It's a new week and quite a number of preparations must have been made by you to seeing that this week turns out to be a productive one. If you are yet to draft out plan for the week, I implore you to do so. Having a plan and a task to achieve in view keeps us focused in our day to day activities of the week. Prioritize your relationship with God, fast, pray, study, Make necessary calls, send that text message, strengthen that relationship, pray for loved ones, give sacrificially, impact lives and talk to someone about Jesus. These are what makes our seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and year a purpose driven one.
Welcome to my blog and as usual, we shall take a closer look on the nature of Christ thereby magnifying his existence as a God.

As one of the Trinity, Jesus is co-equal and eternal with God the Father and God the Spirit. This settles a lot of controversies about the person of Christ. Some believed that he is a created being and God cannot co-exist with any one (A topic we shall look into later). As a believer, you need not struggle with this truth. CHRIST exist even before time began.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God existed outside the frame of time. He created time and not limited by the same. Christ- the word of God is was with God from the beginning. Glory to God! That same word was God. Jesus is the Word of God and at the same time, he is God. He is one with God the Father.

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Jesus is the one and only son of God, a title which as it is used in scripture clearly demonstrates his deity and how he is co-equal with God. This was one of the many reasons why the Jews were furious at his statement of him being a son of God.

John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

He is before all things and in him all things were held together.

Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

As the creator, Jesus is God for God created the world.

Hebrews 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

As God, he has been "face to face" with the father since before time began.

The assurance and the establishment of the fact the Jesus is God can be tied to his divine attributes and works.

1•. He demonstrates the divine nature of God.

God is the Almighty i.e God is the only deity that has an infinite and unlimited power. Not only that, he has all the power in the entire universe. Jesus Christ also confessed the same when he was making known to his disciples through the mandate given to them that he has all power.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

This established that Jesus Christ is Omni potent.

He is also Omni presence - He is present everywhere. He is right there. While giving his mandate to his disciples (which includes us) he made mention of it that he is ever present everywhere we go even to the very end of the world.
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2• JESUS is the raw material and instrumentality to all things.

The word that was with God in the beginning was an instrumentality of every thing that was created.

John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

He upholds all things by the word of his power.

JESUS is the image of the invisible God.

He is the expressed revelation of the father. You want to have a feeling of who God is, all you need do is to unto Jesus.

Colossians 1:14-17.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

3• He gives life.

John 1:3-4

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

He gives physical life. There are many accounts in the scriptures where Jesus gave physical life to men that were pronounced dead. He is so powerful so much that he gives physical life to them that are dead.

John 17:1-2. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Not only does he has the power to give life, he also has the power to give eternal life. A life that exist eternally. A life characterized by the very nature of our God.
