KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
Text: “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God….” 2 Cor 10:5
There is knowledge of God over every issue of our lives. The knowledge of God is the highest knowledge that exists on the earth.Nothing else will match the knowledge of God. We have other forms of knowledge over issues. We have the knowledge of traditions; one culture to another have different ways of handling and relating to issues. There is medical knowledge about the state of the human body which a physician will tell us in health crisis. The economists of this world also have knowledge of how things work in the economy.
Every other knowledge must be subjected to the knowledge of God. We must be careful not to allow any other knowledge to exalt themselves against the knowledge of God in our lives. This usually happen in a subtle way; we must be on our guide not to allow this to happen in our lives. Each one of us must be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. This must become our prayer and our pursuit. Whatever exalts itself against the knowledge of God will hinder the fulfillment of God’s counsels for our lives. The medical knowledge of a challenge in our body should be respected but must never be taken as final over our lives.
There was a severe famine in the land and the prophet came to declare the knowledge of God over the situation. What Elisha said was not logical based on economic knowledge. The lord on whom the king lean came up with his own knowledge. He wanted to exalt what he knew about economics on the revealed knowledge of God. At the end of the day the knowledge of God prevailed. The knowledge of God came to pass in spite of the state of the economy.
The word of God is the primary source of the knowledge of God. Get acquainted with his word.
PRAYER:
In the name of Jesus I’m filled with the knowledge of God in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
