Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another post as a part in the contest floated by this community and I hope you all will get time to read and know about some of the places i mention here and also find my post worthwhile to read and vote.

Keeping in mind the rules of the contest, I would like to be very precise with the details and the other description about these places so as to be within the limits of words already provided by the community.

The Dal Lake

Talking about this famous freshwater lake, it is located in the heart of the Srinagar city, which is also the capital of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers an area of about 25 km², surrounded by Historical Architecture around which gives us a glimpse of our past. The biodiversity in and around the lake is very diverse. The zabarwan mountains in the backdrop of the lake always impart beauty to the lake and the beauty becomes manyfold when the mountains are covered by snow. Clear reflection of these mountains in the lake makes it one of the best places to visit and witness some of the unbelievable scenes one can ever see.

The lake can be navigated using the special Shikara boats and a road which surrounds the lake all around can also be used to witness its beauty from all the sides. It’s a place where one can go and drown in the enchanting beauty, forgetting about worries and stresses of life. A lot of people can be seen roaming around the lake in the evening because the reflection of the sun in the lake is always a treat to watch. It’s a famous natural space for not only the locals, but also the foreign tourists that come in a huge number to witness, the different scenes of this famous lake and to carry with them the colourful memories for life.

Sonamarg

Located at a distance of about 60 km from Srinagar, it is one of the most beautiful places in our valley.The literal meaning of the word Sonmarg is the meadows of gold, and it really is a place with a beautiful landscape, attracting people towards it.It’s a very long valley surrounded by huge mountains which are covered by pine trees up to certain height. The valley can be seen from the top of the mountains which have been provided with roads which lead to Ladakh. It’s a very untouched place without having so much of human interference in its ecosystems and thus it’s one of the best places to visit when one desires to spend some time in serenity.

The beauty of the place is enhanced by the tributaries of a famous river Sind which passed through the plains of Sonmarg and the crystal clear water flowing through these tributaries , is one of the main attractions. Sonmarg located on the way towards Ladakh, is also famous for its passes like Zojila pass, which is one of the highest passes in India and is also one of the top tourist attractions.

Gulmarg

Also called the meadow of flowers is also one of the top natural spaces here in Kashmir. Imparting enchanting beauty all around the year, It’s also called as winter wonderland. As the exceptional view it produces after snowfall is a unique feature of this place. It’s located at a distance of about 45 km from Srinagar and is one of the famous tourist destinations where a lot of foreign as well as local tourists can be seen all round the year.Every time ,doesn’t matter which part of the year it may be or what type of whether it has,it is a one stop destination for all the adventurers who want to explore nature . It’s quite an intrguing place which attracts people who are true nature Lovers.The vast Meadows surrounded by the small hills covered with pine trees and in the background, the huge mountains covered with snow are the main attracting features of this place. In the higher reaches the vast Meadows Occupied by huge herds of sheep is also an attraction of the place.

conclusion

Kashmir also called as the Switzerland of Asia has numerous natural places worth paying a visit to. These places are quite natural till the time because of a little disturbance due to various humanly developments like industries Et cetera. Here I could only write about a few places in order to stick to the rules of the contest, but the places we have here would require very huge number of words to describe them. I being a resident of this beautiful piece of land who keeps on wandering on holidays throughout the year has still a lot of uncharted territories to see and sometimes I feel like I am the tourist of my own birthplace, because at every nook and corner, you will find a natural attraction.
