RE: Art explained by a writer: A Girl by the Oven (1894)
It's so sad to read and see that image, thank goodness it's over. Looking at the image made me feel so sad

It reminds me of my grand mother. I know she told me she wanted to be a nurse and continue with school. For a very long time I thought she could not write or hardly read which she was great at it. She just wrote slowly, with attention and she had a very fine handwriting.
I know she felt her entire life upset because she could never continue school and be what she dreamed of. I could say she built an imperium with her husband, but she was merely a slave. Married to a man she didn't want, from a very religious family as well.
She turned into a very bitter person, bitter and disappointed.

And to think that life begins with a matriarchy
