RE: Art Explained by a Writer: Snedkeren bringer ligkisten til det døde barn (1857)

It must be very frustrating seeing a child born and not being able to enjoy their presence for very long. A birth is supposed to be life, and to lose it so quickly must be incredibly sad. Children are supposed to bury their parents, so it must be very hard to see a child die.I feel especially moved when I imagine the mother

In the Netherlands, it is normal for one in two pregnancies to end. Added to this are stillborn children or children who die at a young age. So, in itself, there is quite a high mortality rate, even though it is not talked about, and it appears that this has only increased after the COVID injections. Miscarriages, stillborn babies, deaths after birth, children with heart attacks. The only thing I never hear about is cot death. I am beginning to think that the period when there was so much news about it was just another media hoax. I do not know whether it is intended that parents should not outlive their children, or that children should bury their parents. We would like to see it that way, but given the explosive growth of the world's population, I think humanity is doing pretty well. Miscarriages also occur in animals, and older animals also lose their young, either by eating them themselves to limit their numbers, or because they simply have no future for the species to expand.

A sad situation
