Your interpretation of this painting is really impressive. I especially liked that you didn't just describe the visuals, but also deeply felt the emotions and body language of the two young men. To me, the light of the lamp in this picture is a symbol of hope, as if there is a glimmer of a solution despite a difficult problem. Although the rich-looking young man appears distressed, the calm demeanor of the man sitting in front of him suggests that he is trying to support and understand him. I think this picture also conveys a message to us that everyone has problems in life, but honest conversation and trust can ease any difficulty. Very nice choice and excellent presentation.
