Perhaps the painter, Francis Davis Millet, was either a victim himself or someone very close to him was, which is why he gave his painting this title, Between Two Fires which couldn't be more fitting.

Liam never imagined that when he fell in love with Amelia and expressed his desire to marry her, he would end up marrying her older, unmarried sister, Sophia.

Initially, everything went well, but then the honeymoon phase wore off, and Sophia began to understand that even though Liam had married her, he still loved Amelia.

After about three years, the atmosphere at home gradually became unbearable. Liam no longer paid attention to Sophia, and Amelia hadn't married anyone else yet.

Then one day, Sophia, understanding the situation, composed herself and told Liam, "If you still love Amelia, you can marry her too. I won't object."

Liam was probably waiting for this very moment. He thought such an opportunity might never come again. Now that Sophia was also willing, what harm was there in marrying Amelia as well?

He immediately accepted Sophia's proposal and, within a week, married Amelia in a simple ceremony.

But poor Liam didn't know that even though they were sisters, when sisters become rivals, there is no greater enemy than they are to each other.

And this is where Liam's story of being caught between two raging fires began, a story with no end in sight, a situation he himself had chosen.

He didn't realize before that balancing new relationships with old ones and personal needs could be difficult. Keeping the new partner happy and being cautious about future plans becomes increasingly important.

Now his life had become that of a referee; his time was spent solely on trying to mitigate the tension between the two sisters. His life had come to a standstill.

My only advice to Liam would be to quickly accept the changes in his new life and mentally prepare himself. He should openly discuss time, responsibilities, and expectations with both wives. They should manage their time effectively and set aside distractions to spend quality time with their wives. Only then will they be able to achieve the right balance in their lives.
