Thomas Webster, A Dame's School, 1845

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

Today I would like to present you my creative writing for the contest organised by @solperez this time there were three paintings of Frederick George Cotman the third painting was called “The Dame School, while reviewing the painting I noticed that the artist work with this name is different, it is this one:

The image that in the post is painting done by Thomas Webster, the British painter, the work is called also “A Dame’s school”. Therefore, I wonder if the image that is in hte post of @solperez was by mistake was among the works of Frederick George Cotman.
Now my story:

 

First time away

 

A little Anne turned now 6 years old and she was happy girl with a lot of kindness in her heard and love to her parents and relatives but also she loved to have fun with her friends. It was hot summer and to the end of summer her parents were telling that once the summer is over Anne will be going to school.

Anne was excited about the school, she loved to make new friends and did not like to be alone. She also heard a lot about the Girl’s school and because the school was far away her parents told that she will be there for a week and on weekend parents will take her back home. Initially Anne was concerned because she thought that her parents would like to send her away forever but after speaking to them, she knew that they love her and after speaking to her parents daily she then realised that she will have better knowledge in school.

Anne liked an idea that she will have girls only around her. She loved idea to make new friends and also to show herself what she can do and learn new things from others.

When she arrived to school, there were many other girls and they were also first time there. They all were a bit shy but it was obvious they were keen to learn each other.

The best side of being in school it was that children had time to play outside, they were able to work in garden, they had fun in their bedroom sometimes telling scary stories.

She also enjoyed being during the classes, Anne and her friends did have uniforms that she liked too they were able to sit anywhere, and they have a teacher who was very kind and attentive and everyone obey their teacher.

Now it is a time to learn, there is an hour of reading. The teacher allowed to read children one after another, each child was allowed to read a paragraph. It is quite and everyone is listening to the story, but the same time immersing in own imagination of the fantasy of the story in their mind.
