This is a very interesting way to handle spacecraft re-entry! Instead of using only normal heat shields, MHD tech could use magnets to push very hot plasma away from the space, lowering heat and maybe adding more braking power. The chance to cut down on communications blackout is especially cool. If bigger flight tests prove these results, magnetic protection could be key for reusability and future trips back from the Moon or Mars.
