It may seem like just a technological demonstration, but what happened recently at the White House may be a sign of something much bigger, a humanoid robot walking through the corridors of power speaking, interacting and participating in an official event, Figure 03, developed by the American startup Figure, made its debut at a global meeting focused on education and technology and became the first robot of this category to participate in an executive event of that level.

But what really draws attention is not just the presence, but what is behind it, in recent months, the company began to completely change the way its robots work, instead of depending on external systems such as OpenAI models, Figure went on to develop its own intelligence, an architecture called Helix 2 based on the concept of software 2.0. This means that the robot stops following manually programmed rules and starts learning directly from the data.

Now it not only executes tasks and starts reacting to the world, during recent tests, Figure 03 demonstrated something essential for the real world, the ability to deal with unexpected human interference, that is, it does not crash when something goes off script, it adapts, in addition, the company claims that the robot has already achieved something close to human productivity in tasks such as sorting objects, maintaining a constant pace for an entire shift and does not stop there.

The same system has already been tested in domestic environments, organizing rooms, manipulating objects and interacting with the environment autonomously, but perhaps the most interesting point is outside the robot, because the CEO of the company invested nearly $100,000,000 in his own pocket to create a new intelligence called HARK, a system that unifies speech, reasoning and physical action in a single brain, and that indicates an important change.

Companies no longer want to depend on each other, they want to control the intelligence, the body and the behavior of these machines and when you see a theft being presented inside the White House, it is difficult not to see it as something more than technology, it is positioning, that sign that this race stopped being just industrial and became strategic, because in the end it is not based only on who is going to build the best robots, but who is going to control the intelligence behind them, only that behind all this discussion there is a more fundamental layer, it is not enough to appear intelligent.
