It all starts with a curiosity; Valles Marineris on Mars

This brutal scar that Mars has, I think it is my favorite part of the planet, is Valles Marineris, a gigantic valley, much larger than the Grand Canyon on Earth. Valles Marineris is not a single canyon, but a system of colossal valleys, each with its own history.

At some points the walls rise up to 10 km high, if you were at the bottom you wouldn't even be able to see the end. The walls would disappear into the horizon, it is so enormous that it is difficult to encompass it in a single glance.

The entire Valles Marineris is interesting because of the shape and because they are all different from each other and have been formed differently. For example, in Hydraotes Chaos, it is very strange that it is completely broken, it is as if the entire floor had suddenly collapsed. For what reason? We don't know.

Valles Marineris is not a single valley, further west there is a smaller canyon called Capri chasma, it is all full of canyons and nooks, part called Coprates chasma is the longest part of the canyon, it measures more than 1000 km and takes you to the most spectacular part, which is the highest and widest, called Melas chasma, Mela chasma is so immense that Mexico City could fit inside several times and it would be surrounded by rock walls 10 times higher than Everest.
