Scientific curiosity; The management of natural disasters

Natural disasters exist, they have existed in the past, they will exist in the future and what we humans have to learn is to minimize the damage, to try to avoid them and if it is possible to control them, some of them we have been able to control over time thanks to our engineers, architects and scientists and also to a lesser extent the politicians, although they are the ones who put on the medals, and as I always say, the ones who make the revolution, the ones who change the world are the scientists, the engineers and the inventors, the politicians do it. The only thing they do is manage these inventions and create regulations so that they can be used socially.

Unfortunately, they do not usually do this work well. I give you the example of automobiles. When the automobile was invented, a whole legislation and regulation had to be created to be able to use them correctly for the benefit of everyone and without violating the rights of other people. Obviously at the beginning it was chaos and there were abuses and there were accidents, all of that had to be regulated, that is the job of politicians and unfortunately they don't usually do it very well.

And researchers and scientists have worked to better understand what these catastrophes are that have occurred in the past and that may occur in the future and how to deal with them so that they cause the least possible damage.
