The SLS is the most powerful rocket that exists, it is also more powerful than the Apollo and it is the rocket that will send the ships to the moon in the Artemis international space program, led by NASA, but there are also other nations involved; Its launch window is scheduled for February 6, if everything is ready.

The SLS will cost 2.1 billion to launch, nothing is recycled here, it is 2.1 billion dollars and they are going to be destroyed with just one launch, in the future they say that its launch will be made cheaper, and that they are going to make it more recyclable and reusable, let's see what happens, because if we don't try to make a base on the moon with such incredibly expensive launches, it would be a disastrous ruin, keep in mind that the objectives must be met, that we must be on the moon, yes, due to the issue of lunar resources and when the exploitation and distribution of those resources is decided, but we also have to regulate the budget because this is a research budget, it is money that in this case goes to lunar research, but if it gets out of hand, ultimately we will be burning that budget that could perhaps be used for other space research.

At the moment we have the rocket ready, the launch is 2.1 billion, the rocket, but the complete mission will be about 4.1 billion dollars, and between 220 to 240 million come from the European budget to specifically pay for this mission, which where there is also European technological equipment so that the ship can reach the orbit of the moon, they are funds from taxpayers and we all in some way contribute our grain of sand.

They are going to reach lunar orbit, but they are not going to land on it, even so it is brutal because since 1972 humans have not gone beyond 600 km away from the Earth, the normal thing is for astronauts to go to the space stations, both Chinese and American, and there it is about 450 km away, the last one that has broken the record in moving away from the planet was with the Polaris Dawn mission, directed by Jared Isaacman 2 years ago and currently director of NASA.

The above was a record, for this 21st century, but since 1972 we have not gone beyond that distance, so returning again to the orbit of the Moon is going to break the record of the Apollo 13 mission, which is the maximum distance that humans have reached outside the Earth, but it is not a main objective, so they could beat it of course, they say they could try or it may happen, we may see it and in any case they had to do this mission to check the equipment, the ship, the operation, the habitat of the ship, because the ship was already the moon, there was already a mission, the Artemis 1, which consisted precisely of sending the ship empty and doing a test of how everything worked, but of course, the test with the ship empty is not the same as with humans inside, among other things, because humans have a certain biological activity and this mission is going to last 10 days and in those 10 days many things can happen that we hope are all good things, but we have to test everything.

We also have to see how the lunar lander is tested, which in principle will be the lunar StarShip, we have to see how this ship is tested by landing on the empty moon, without humans inside, before the actual landing of humans, of Americans, takes place, because the first two are going to be Americans, there are going to be two of them and it also had to be of African descent and a woman, there were some requirements out there, some things that now they put as new requirements.

Whatever they do, we are going to see that previously empty ship tested, they are not going to risk sending the ship without having tested it first, so it is going to be another spectacular mission because imagine seeing this huge, tall block of steel of about 50 meters, and we are going to see it land on the moon and let's hope that everything goes well. And if it doesn't go well, then NASA has plan B for the Blue Origin lander from the Jeep Bezos company, which would be another, they should also make the legs a little wider, because landing on the moon is not easy at all, lunar gravity is not like Earth's, obviously.

I believe that the first projects with humans will last 2 years, imagine, a ship, even if it is only one year, already a year in space and in microgravity conditions are quite annoying for humans, if we also add that it will not be protected by the Earth's magnetic field, because although it may seem strange, the international space station and China are still within the Earth's protective magnetic field, it does not cover them as much as being on the Earth's surface, which is also covered by the atmosphere and we have more shield to protect ourselves from rays. cosmic and solar storms, but they are still inside that magnetic shell of the Earth, but as soon as you leave that shell, as soon as you go to the Moon and of course as soon as you go to Mars, you you lose that protection.
