Instead of focusing on flashy demonstrations, the California-based company Noble Machines, made up of former SpaceX engineers, decided to put its robot directly to work in industry. The company was founded just 18 months ago, but it has already attracted attention behind the scenes.

His team brings together engineers who worked not only at SpaceX, but also at Apple, NASA and Coltec. The company revealed that its main humanoid robot has already been implemented in industrial operations of a large company, although the name of the client has not yet been disclosed. The focus of the project is not aesthetics, nor human behavior.

The goal is to perform tasks that the industry itself describes as monotonous, dirty, dangerous and declining. Jobs that many companies have difficulty filling with human labor. The robot can carry up to 27 kg or stick for approximately 5 hours on a single charge and move in chaotic environments such as construction sites, climbing stairs and traversing metal structures.

All of this is controlled by an already integrated system running on a single Nvidia Jetson Oren that coordinates the entire movement of the robot's body. According to the company, the system uses a body control model guided by artificial intelligence, allowing robots to learn new tasks by observing human demonstrations.

Using simulations based on the Nvidia Isaac platform, the robot can acquire new skills in just a few hours, a much faster process than traditional industrial automation systems.

Another detail caught attention in the sector, but building a robot capable of carrying weight and operating machines is only part of the challenge. The true goal of many engineers is much more ambitious, to create machines capable of understanding us human beings.
