The European Space Agency (ESA) carried out fueling of five tanks of the Euclid space observatory.

Total amount was 140 kilograms of hydrazine and 70 kilograms of nitrogen.

This is enough to ensure the operation of the observatory's sixteen engines in space for the entire service life of six years.

The launch of Euclid using the Falcon 9 launch vehicle is scheduled for July 1 this year, the observatory has already been delivered to Florida, where the launch will take place.

Euclid will work near the second Lagrange point in the Sun-Earth system and explore distant galaxies and clusters of galaxies, determining their distances and their properties.

This will make it possible to build a three-dimensional map of the distribution of galaxies in the Universe and estimate the distribution of dark and baryonic matter.

The European observatory will also help us to understand the expansion rate of the Universe.
