alopex lagopus - arctic fox

here we have a digital re-make of an icelandic stamp, the stamp has a photograph of a fox .
commonly known as "arctic fox". arctic foxes are dark gray to brown to bluish-brown in the summer. however during winter, its fur is white or creamy white.

in the americas, the arctic fox is found from western alaska and east through northern canada and in to greenland. It is also found in the arctic regions of europe, asia, and iceland.
