Thy heart that strays must turn to thine again
Seek not the love that will not hear thy call
Why chase the stone where tenderness is vain
When truthless hearts let faithful blossoms fall ?
O flower bloom, thou blossomed out of place
Thy tender shoots unseen on foreign ground
Love’s path must walk with kindness and with grace
Not where deceit and fleeting vows are found
Return, dear flower, and love thine own pure soul,
Recall thy strength, let wandering cease its roam
No need to chase a heart that bear no role
Though cast aside, thou still art flower’s bloom
So sorrow not, nor dwell in grief’s decay.
For thou shalt bloom anew in thine own way.
