Common names include bigleaf hydrangea, French hydrangea, lacecap hydrangea, mophead hydrangea & hortensia.
It is widely cultivated in many parts of the world in many climates. In Chinese medicine, the flowers are used to treat malaria & various heart diseases. The leaves & roots have been used as an antimalarial drug.
Dried hydrangea blooms can be used in wreaths, garlands & other decorative arrangements, adding a touch of natural beauty to any space.
