The Beauty of Football, Here is Its History
Until 1970, the standard for ball size had not been found. So, Adidas innovated by making a ball that would be used in the Mexican Cup. Telstas, inspired by the Telstar satellite which was the first satellite. From 1970, Adidas became the official company that produced the round leather, for the highest football event.
After Telstar developed into several names, in the 1982 World Cup, the ball was named Tango Espana. This was the first time the ball was made of leather, and made of rubber. Developing from Tango Espana, there is Azteca. The ball used for the 1986 Mexican World Cup took the name of the Aztec tribe. The materials used also changed. From leather, to synthetic materials.
Meanwhile in Italy, the ball used was the Etrvsco Unico. The ball that led West Germany to victory, developed technology from Azteca which was sewn with special thread, so it was not easily torn. The result, 4 months Etrvsco Unico, was much better.
Each ball has its own uniqueness, some even become footballers' favorites, such as Fevernova. In the 2002 World Cup, it was David Beckham, Roberto Carlos, or Zinedine Zidane's favorites.
The free kick specialists benefited from the ball being directed, and could reach 120 km per hour. However, for the goalkeeper, this ball was actually difficult to catch.
Every 4 years, the ball used always changes its name following the host's style, and develops different technology. The ball becomes an icon for the World Cup organizers, besides the mascot.
Football Shoe Development
Football shoes are indeed increasingly developing, from various high-tech shoes, which help the performance of players on the field. The first brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, and many more, continue to innovate in making soccer shoes. From design, to shoe materials are made with the most sophisticated technology that is believed to help player performance.
Not infrequently, many brands also re-release the design of soccer shoes that were once worn by legendary players. Rapid development during these 3 centuries began in the mid-1900s. Previously, soccer shoes were known in 1525. Shoes in King Henry's time were hand-sewn, made of hard materials, and were high above the ankles. But the use of these shoes was not absolute.
It was only in 1863 that FIFA made a rule that players were prohibited from wearing shoes with protruding or iron shoes. From this rule, soccer manufacturers began to think hard to create their own creations. In 1948, Adolf Dassler, and his brother Rudolf Dassler, became the initiators of shoes with removable soles. Adolf was the founder of Adidas, with Rudolf, forming the Puma company.
In the 1960s, soccer shoes began to develop, and began to resemble the shoes that exist today. This change in shoes allowed players to move more freely. In the 1960 World Cup, 75% of players wore Adidas shoes. From standard shoes in the 70s, soccer shoes developed with a play of colors. It was in this era that white soccer shoes first appeared. Shoe manufacturers also recruited players as part of the marketing process.
Approaching the 70s, Adidas produced the Copa Mundial. These shoes made of kangaroo leather were the best-selling in 1979.
Adidas' dominance began to get competitors in the 80s. British sports opera manufacturers Umbro, Lotto from Italy, and Kelme from Spain, began to enliven the market. From the competition, technological innovations emerged. Shoe soles in the 80s became lighter. Again, Adidas produced the legendary shoes named "Predator
While Puma, appeared with shoes without soles, aka Pumacel technology. While Nike, appeared with Nike Mercurial. Continuing into the 2000 era, the design of technology and comfort of soccer shoes became more varied.
That is the history of the development of football and soccer shoes, from time to time. Hopefully the information above is useful for you.
Greetings always compact.
