It says about insects, but recently the list of "prey" has been expanded. I didn't find a separate bird contest, so I'm duplicating the application (just in case :) and here:

That's right, we've started the vertebrate selection process, but for now, while the tags are being finalized, we'll be doing manual curation.
You already know a bit about how it works; just use the #eco-lens tag in your post, and then we'll check it.
And maybe in two weeks we'll release the official vertebrate animal post. For now, it'll be manual curation.
