Hello dear contest participants

This is my entry to the CCS CONTEST "Share your beautiful Food Photography with Us and Win 30 Trx!".

I was 1 month ago on gold panning trip in Austria. More specifically in Taxenbach, we stayed there for a few days in the Taxenbacherhof. I myself did not know the hotel before but the couple we were friends with had stayed there before.

After we had checked in, my colleague said that he reserved a table in the hotel's own restaurant for the evening so that we could have a nice delicious meal after we had come from panning for gold.

Around eight o'clock we came back from prospecting and quickly freshened up and put on an evening dress and went to the restaurant. Since it was still very warm, we were lucky and could sit outside.

After we had ordered our drinks, it went to the menu and what should I say I knew nothing at all of it.
But my Austrian friends explained everything very well, so I chose a nice dish.
As a mini appetizer we got from the house that, I would describe it as
Sheep cheese with sour grated carrots and a paper thin piece of bread.
Didn't want to eat it at all because it looked so good.😉

For main course I had a nice thick piece of braised BIO beef roulade with mashed potatoes | broccoli, a salad.
As after table I had 2erlei of chocolate mousse & tart
Raspberry | white chocolate ice cream.

After the menu I was so full that I just wanted to smoke a quick one in front of the door and then off to bed, what relax.
Since we had the rooms next to each other, we could, after the meal could sink, together on the balcony still what chat, discuss the next day and listen to the shooting stars.

Ich war vor 1 Monat auf Goldwaschreise in Österreich. Genauer gesagt in Taxenbach, wir wohnten dort für ein paar Tage im Taxenbacherhof. Ich selbst kannte das Hotel vorher nicht, aber das befreundete Ehepaar hatte dort schon einmal übernachtet.

Nachdem wir eingecheckt hatten, sagte mein Kollege, dass er für den Abend einen Tisch im hoteleigenen Restaurant reserviert habe, damit wir nach dem Goldwaschen ein schönes, leckeres Essen haben könnten.

Gegen acht Uhr kamen wir vom Schürfen zurück, machten uns schnell frisch, zogen ein Abendkleid an und gingen ins Restaurant. Da es noch sehr warm war, hatten wir Glück und konnten draußen sitzen.

Nachdem wir unsere Getränke bestellt hatten, ging es an die Speisekarte und was soll ich sagen, ich wusste überhaupt nichts davon.
Aber meine österreichischen Freunde erklärten mir alles sehr gut und so suchte ich mir ein schönes Gericht aus.
Als kleine Vorspeise bekamen wir vom Haus das, ich würde es so beschreiben
Schafskäse mit sauer geriebenen Karotten und einem hauchdünnen Stück Brot.
Wollte es gar nicht essen, weil es so gut aussah 😉 .

Als Hauptgang hatte ich ein schönes dickes Stück geschmorte BIO-Rinderroulade mit Kartoffelpüree | Brokkoli, einen Salat.
Als Nachspeise hatte ich 2erlei von Schokoladenmousse & Torte
Himbeere | weißes Schokoladeneis.

Nach dem Menü war ich so satt, dass ich nur noch schnell eine vor der Tür rauchen wollte und dann ab ins Bett, was entspannt.
Da wir die Zimmer nebeneinander hatten, konnten wir nach dem Essen noch auf dem Balkon zusammen sitzen, was plaudern, den nächsten Tag besprechen und den Sternschnuppen zuhören.
