Dodging Chaos and Loving It: Survivor Arena First Impressions”

Another fun day and I am back to report some more of my gaming exploits! Today I picked up a game called Survivor Arena from Cur8 Games, and frankly, it was a ton of fun! There is something so satisfying about the "survive the unending swarm" style of game, and this one had me on the edge of my seat from the second that "Play" button went off! I started off looking at the available character roster.

I tried out the Cyber Soldier for my first run as a good general-purpose unit, but the Fire Warrior and the tough Ice Sentinel look very appealing for future sessions! Once I had dropped into the "Void Abyss", there was no stopping the chaos! I made it from Level 1 to Level 4 and it felt good and solid as far as character progression goes.

The upgrade system is really the place where the game's strategy comes into play. For Level 2 I had to choose between a Boomerang and a Rocket Launcher and chose the Boomerang in order to have the capability of hits to multiple enemies, but by the time I got to level 3 I had added an Attack Drone to help me with the robot enemies.

At level 4, things really started heating up with "Fast Waves" filling the screen and I had to pick between a Shotgun or a Machine Gun to accompany my trusty Level 1 Pistol. The coolest thing is feeling myself become stronger and stronger with each weapon choice! It was incredibly cool to see my little robot dancing between neon green orbs blasting dozens of enemies with what felt like minimal effort on my part, though by Level 4 it was a bit of a frenzy! Even though I am still very new to this and seeing all the different weapon synergies, I was instantly hooked! So if you want to pick.
