Pentris: securing 34 point

It is unbelievable to score 34 points in Pentris this morning It might seem only a bit to an average observer, yet, as any man who has ever played with pentominos, every single point in this game was achieved with the assistance of the great mental acrobats and fast mental space responses.

Pentris may only differ the leap and go to the five squares, and that is why it is much more interesting than the others. The traditional Tetris game requires you to manipulate seven shapes. In Pentris, though, you are dealing with 12 different pentominoes, queer, tremulous and often awkward shapes like the F, the X and the W pieces.

These extra blocks change the entire line of reasoning of the board. You cannot merely have faith to muscle memory but you need to see how these five-square giants can fit in a grid that was not supposed to be user-friendly at all. Clearing one line is a victory and clearing a number of lines is literally an engineering miracle.

The 34-Point Milestone

With a 34-point score you have now passed the Chaos Zone. The stack grows exponentially faster in this game given the fact that the pieces are bigger and hard to fit in small spaces. This score would confirm several important facts of your playing style:

Precision Placement: You have done it without the will-that-bites-you trap of one erroneously placed bit of 'P' or 'N' creating a hole in the stack that will wipe out the entire stack.
Quick Turning: You have perfected the art of rolling these queer balls about and about so that when you reach the position where you want to get to on the bottom, you have done so.
Cool Under Pressure: When it comes to speed there is no room to spare. The fact that the final score of 34 is so rhythmic to stay concentrated till the end.

You are no longer at the learning phase and have entered the competitive world. And the second thing comes the chase after that illusory 5-line clear!
