Frosty trip

It was minus thirty outside, and the car's battery was dead, and I didn't strain it with the thickened oil. But I want to take pictures, especially I want to capture the frosty blue hour with frost and the rising moon.

So I'll walk, get dressed warmly, and walk across the field into the woods to Kirika-Ulita.

It's cold, though! Apart from the face, nothing freezes, but it's enough to feel all the delights of frost.

I forgot to switch to raw and shot the whole walk in jpeg.

At first, I was upset, but then I accepted and loved these pictures for the perfectly conveyed atmosphere of a very cool evening.

I didn't take a long walk in the woods – I needed the strength to return home.

And in the cold, energy is consumed many times more.

On the way back, that barely noticeable but perfectly palpable breeze blew right in my face.

Because of this, I walked backwards for a third of the way - my face was so unbearably cold!

I did get a runny nose later, but I dealt with it quickly, and it's a good thing I didn't get sick at all. But the walk was memorable and the photos turned out to be good.
