New Year's Moscow
I managed to visit Moscow last year, in 2025. If the tradition with the St. Petersburg Forum was broken (I was denied accreditation), then a new tradition appeared – the results of the year with the President.
Moscow is bright, colorful, and elegant!
But it's like I've already seen it all a year ago...Maybe even five...
The reporter has one drawback that hinders his work: it's difficult to shoot the same thing and serve it with different sauces.
There is a technical task: to take pictures of Christmas decorations. But I already took such photos last year. We need new ones and different ones from last year!
And I'll tell you that it's all in my head...If you review my New Year's pictures from the capital, you won't find any similar ones.
This is confirmed by my street repeat project, where I consciously and not very much photograph the same places from about the same point at different times.
Even the same place has different states at the same time.
And this is Moscow! Although it feels like nothing has changed on Red Square since last year, the shots are so different that they don't look like each other at all.
It seemed to me that I took very little pictures this time.
Although I even went to streets where I had never photographed the illumination before.
Again, there are some limits and limitations in my head: in fact, I took a lot of diverse pictures.
I set myself a very high bar, but having gone a little lower, I already evaluate myself critically.
I've already tested my capabilities, figured out what I can do and how.
And now, having promised nothing to anyone but myself, I don't want to lower the bar, but just allow myself to relax and put an average bolt on many things.
That was the case a couple of years ago, when I was just photographing dugouts with courtyards and nothing else besides them.
And it was so sincere and from the bottom of my heart that I didn't even think about anything else.
And here, on the reporting wave, for some reason, I didn't just believe that I could, but I had to...
But I don't owe anyone anything if it's not a work task.
In general, the bottom line is that I went a little overboard, setting myself a very high bar. And it's not that I couldn't do it, but that I was tired up.
