I also try to prevent mold from growing and prevent insects from growing. But somehow, some space remains and these insects grow. Thus, I got the opportunity to look closely at a small creature of nature.
mold is a different story and hard to fight especially if it rains a lot and the air is humid. I find it hard work and use bleach. I heard on the radio many people in the Netherlands suffer from in their houses and the house owners should fight it but in most cases they say: heat more and put the windows open, which isn't the solution. Mold is very bad for the health by te way.

It will certainly be a new experience for me to use bleach, as I have never used it to kill this creature. If it becomes widespread, I would like to continue it further.
It cleans and desinfects and I would not hestitate to use if for mold.
As it comes to your drains I would try vinegar first.
