Monday Thoughts, At Mapita Photography 062226

I heard the news about the wildfire in a neighbor town. I admit, I used to see the mountains burning even from afar for almost two decades each year. There's anger in me seeing the fiery mountains for two reasons: they are destroying God's creations, and there's consequence which affects not only them but most of us in this part of the province.

There are reports of "kaingin" or trees are burned which they can make charcoal, and use or sell them. While some people are saying nobody are burning the trees but others debunked the claim. There are even speculations of establishing a solar power plant there.

What's scary is the possible effects of balded mountains. Aside from the smokes getting into the atmosphere, flash flood is possible. Those living in the area are likely to be the most affected.

I've been to Mapita around four years ago with my siblings. This time, we got to go back and chill because of the cool breeze, and beautiful views.
