📷📸📷We've reached week 10 of the contest, and there are many more to come!✨🎉🎊

What is the “Eco Lens Challenge” about?

I'm celebrating, along with Camping Club Steemit, reaching week 10 of the Eco-Lens Map Challenge. This project aims to compile observations of insects and other invertebrates through posts on our platform.

I appreciate the support of our leader, @visionaer3003, for believing in and contributing to its implementation.

In this post, I'll focus on an analysis and evaluation of the project, its management, and the participation of Steemians, based on the statistics report for the hashtags #eco-lens and #ccs from August 11th to November 4th, 2025. But first, take a look at the Eco-Lens Map in Google Earth, the authors are listed below.

Some considerations.

Growth has been slow but steady. I'm finding more and more in-depth observations in the reports, and the posts average around 457 words.

The graphs show the posts and comments over the past 10 weeks. It looks stable, and the project is consolidating.

The CCS feed itself now looks more varied due to the frequent posts related to insect observations. This is an activity many campers practice in real life, and now Steemit campers are doing it too.

What's next?

Some changes to the contest, aiming to simplify it without sacrificing quality. A new edition of the Observation Challenge for another 10 weeks.

Stay tuned for upcoming updates and calls to continue observing small life and reporting it on our CCS Eco-Lens Map. And leave your comments.

What is ECO-LENS Challenge
grafico-ingles.png
Observe: Your environment and surroundings, including your home and garden.
Photograph: Take several shots from different angles and distances. Select the 7 best ones.
Research: Research and write a review about the insect, animal, flower, or plant you photographed. Be creative.
Share: The post on Steemit. You can also log your observation on iNaturalist

For those joining or just to reminisce, our Eco-Lens Challenge is a weekly nature photography and observation contest, which we compile into a participatory map, the Eco-Lens Map.

Each week, we focus on a specific theme (insects, plants, birds, etc.). The goal is for you, with your cameras and your curiosity, to go out and find and photograph these treasures of nature.

We're not just looking for pretty pictures. We want you to tell us the story behind each image: what you saw, where you saw it, what you researched, and what you learned. It's an invitation to connect with nature in a deeper way and to share that knowledge with everyone, including those who contribute to the growth of the Eco-Lens Map.

Dear Sir,
First of all, please accept my respect and love. I found the details of your post quite logical. Really, change is needed in every work. Change increases the speed and interest of work. The beauty of nature prolongs the love of every person. I myself have built a garden on the roof of my house. There I have planted flowers, fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants. Through photography, I always see the perfect beauty of nature and the creatures created by nature. I want to know from you, after photographing a flower, should I submit some more photographs of the nature around it? Should I submit the link of the competition under this post?

Hello, dear friend.
There won't be a contest this week. Stay tuned next week when I resume, but we'll continue with the insect theme for another season. Thanks for commenting.
