SLC S27 Week5 - Let's Play OpenTTD Multiplayer

I followed the multiplayer tab and it opened this new window in front of me. In the filter bar I types steemit as suggested. It showed me only one server as you can see. I entered my player name as my steemit username. I joined the game and then it required password and I entered it.

After entering password it has downloaded the map. It failed many times but after those attempts I was able to enter the game. Now my name is visible in the game. I have joined game in 2022.

You can see my company has been inaugurated in 2022. I have selected a face and red colour scheme by default for my company. It is looking weird to me what to do but I need more time to understand it.

I started the company and I became a bankrupt in the initial stage due to no investigating the terrain and available opportunities. I left that company and started a new company and I worked on that continuously after joining the game on server.

I have written all these initials because at first I was feeling it very hard playing on the server. Now I will come towards the main tasks. My new company was inaugurated in 2026.

🚂Task 1✈️

At first when I started playing this game I felt and observed with first bird eye view that it is just a simple game which does not have many features. The most horrible thing for me was that my balance was decreasing continuously without even doing any activity like purchasing or anything else. I was fearful if my all balance will go on just like this and later on I could not be able to play the game. For this concern I was pausing the game most of the time.

But later on when I started playing the game I was taking a lot of interest in the game. I was liking it making my transport company more wide and covering different cities and towns. My company started making huge profit. I noticed among all the participants my company made huge profits in less years.

I understood the transportation system, logistics, and creativity. I played with buses, trucks, ships, and planes. But I am still curious that I have not tried trains yet. I want to try them and want to observe how the trains work.

It is really very creative game which opens the closed doors of our minds. It has helped me to understand and solve the real life problems without loosing but making a policy which helps to earn more. It has made me a good and creative planner and task handle. It is not just revolve around the fun but with education and inspiration. I always like challenges and I got this thing here in the game.

🚂Task 2✈️

Even though everything is visible in the server but I would like to mention somethings about my company and the growth of the city.

As mentioned earlier right after starting and joining the server I used all the funds available and nothing left even loan was not possible at that moment. Here the list of my stations which I created in the game. According to my saved game I created 58 stations these may vary based on the actual data of the game on the server as far as I think.

In the stations I created:

• Truck Stations
• Bus Stations
• Ship Docks
• Airports

In the picture all of my stations are visible. I monitored my stations continuously to spot if there is crowd which is waiting for the arrival of buses but the buses are not enough to pick them all and transport them in time. So where it was needed I added more buses and similarly for the delivery of mails I added mail trucks.

I did same for the planes and all other trucks and ships which I used for different purposes. My transport company is continuously printing money. One thing which I noticed is that I missed making bus stations in the crowded area but made at the corners. I noticed the stations which I made in the center or near many buildings were more crowded and they earned me more profit than those which I made at the corners.

I would like to quote what type of cargo I delivered.

• Coal
• Woods
• Oil
• Iron Ore
• Passengers
• Mails
• Goods
• Grains

I discovered something strange that my mines disappeared. I was worried thinking if someone has destroyed my mines but later on I got it with time things can disappear in the game.

These are some places where I tried to work in the game to try to increase my profit and test all previously learnt things here on the server gameplay.

This is the profile of my company. I only find the difficulty of live server and network connectivity. Then I managed my time to avoid network connectivity problems.

This is all I am able to show through my saved version of the game and all the working activities can be seen on the server once it becomes live.
