LEAF CATERPILLAR
Hello everyone good afternoon my portrait today is a caterpillar whose scientific name is sphinx walnut or what we know better as leaf caterpillars, called leaf caterpillars because we often encounter them on the leaves of trees or green plants.
This caterpillar eats green leaves, it is not uncommon for this caterpillar to be considered a pest by farmers because it eats farmers' plants which results in less crop yields or even crop failure.
To repel leafworms it is very easy to use ingredients from nature, just use papaya leaves 3 to 5 leaves piled up until smooth papaya leaves then give water approximately one litre. If in your place there are no papaya leaves then you can use brotowali leaves 10 to 15 leaves pile up until smooth give one litre of water then spray it on the leaves of your plants that are eaten by leafworms.
However, we can also find leaf caterpillars in the forest that do not disturb farmers' plants, the size of this caterpillar is not too large and can be said to be in the small caterpillar group because the largest size is only 4000 x 4000 px or 33.87 x 33.87 cm.
These leaf caterpillars are harmless caterpillars are not spiny or itchy, usually leaf caterpillars become bird food, while the caterpillars that grow up later the leaf caterpillars will become cocoons or the science language of the order lepidoptera.
The caterpillar that will become a butterfly will go through a perfect metamorphosis process so that the caterpillar that becomes a cocoon will change its body shape during the cocoon.
The cocoons that we usually find hanging on leaves or on tree trunks will undergo a process of not eating for more than 10 days until the perfect metamorphosis process is complete until the cocoon becomes a beautiful butterfly.
All adult caterpillars will undergo metamorphosis but not all caterpillars or cocoons can become butterflies disturbed by the type of caterpillar or cocoon and also disturbed by the type of butterfly, caterpillars that have undergone a fairly difficult and long process that we now see become beautiful butterflies with various shades of colour that rule the flower garden.
