Dunster Castle Part I

in CCS19 days ago (edited)

Dunster castle has existed in some format since at least Norman times although it’s form has changed over the years, becoming a lavish country home during the 19th century for the Luttrell family, who lived there for 600 years. It is an impressive castle and a working water mill.

It’s definitely up there on my favourite national trust properties. The gardens and woodland are particularly impressive as they are full of Mediterranean and subtropical plants. There are lots of banana trees and palms.
