RE: Ariel rope

in CCSyesterday (edited)

It actually doesn’t hurt at all unless you you wear shorts or something. My worst injuries have been from Ariel hoop. Some of the elbow things hurt like absolute hell and the back of the knees and any kind of rolling against the hoop.

An elbow roll workshop left me with both my upper arms like this:

I have to be honest boop almost feels a little brutal for my body and I might phase it out if I don’t get more adjusted to it soon. Not only does it bruise bad I do feel generally a bit like my joints are sore sometimes especially around the arms.

I used to bruise a lot with pole but I stopped doing that so much now but I had my worst accident of all Ariel with pole but I blame that cover teacher as she was spotting me and just let me fall in a move I would never have tried alone. As long as you are spotted till you feel safe I’ve never felt in danger before. That has made me less trusting of new teachers till I get to know and trust them for sure!

So far I’ve not really had any injuries at all from rope but I have only been doing it 2 and a bit months so the day is a still young 😂

Don’t get me wrong rope does hurt the feet but it’s over by the time you leave for me.

You're crazy! That looks terrible! And your trainer needs to be more careful, damn it! Take care of yourself (or slow down a bit... ;-))
