From Strips to Basket: A Creative Paper Craft

My Greetings to everyone in the Creative Pulse community! I'm Afifa Noor from Pakistan and I'm excited to share my another craft work with you all - a stunning Paper Basket! I designed it especially for my Beauty products but it can used as Mulit purpose . , so I created this basket to arrange all my small cosmetics products (like lipstick, eyeliner , Maskara, foundations and beauty brushes ) in one place. I'll share all step-by-step pictures and instructions ( Details of making this craft) below. Hope you'll like it.

Material:

• Hard sheet ( Navy Blue , Sky Blue)
• Scissor / Knife-cutter
• Colourful Paper ( Pink , Navy Blue)
• Glue

First of all, I cut navy blue sheets into long strips, each measuring 12×1 inches. After that, I arranged them in a pattern so that all the pieces were connected to each other and formed a design. In this way, a 4×4 inch square was created in the center, which is the base of the box. Then, I folded the remaining parts of all the pieces upwards.

Then, I cut 4 strips of sky blue color, each measuring 16×1 inches, and joined both ends of each strip together using glue. This formed a square shape with each side measuring 4 inches. Next, I started adjusting them into the navy blue strips, creating a pattern where one sky blue and one navy blue box alternated. Similarly, I joined the remaining strips into a box shape, and thus, a two-color patterned box was ready.

Now, to give it a basket shape, I attached a sky blue strip to the center of the two sides on top using glue. Then, to add more beauty to it, I cut out flower shapes from blue and pink paper and attached them to both sides of the handle. I also added one flower to the center of the handle on top. And now, our beautiful multi-purpose paper basket is ready!" I captured photos of it from different angles . I've also included a selfie of myself along with it.

Next, I organized all my small Cosmetic products insider the basket and took a final picture, which is shown below.
