Starting a new workshop is incredibly tough, especially when it's a craft that used to be highly valued but has taken a hit due to modern technology. But things like this take time to build. Growing up, I remember the elders saying that you can never predict two things: death and a customer. They can show up at any moment. That is why it’s so important to stay ready and be on duty.

Because of this, I spend most of my time at the shop. To keep myself busy during the quiet hours, I practice with my calligraphy pens and papers. sometimes practicing so much that I completely run out of paper! :-)

Today was no different, and I spent most of my day practicing calligraphy. However, in this post, I want to share a recent project I worked on at a swimming pool. The job was to paint dolphins 🐬 and some other pool-themed drawings on the walls.
This was a rush job with a very tight deadline because the pool's grand opening was scheduled for the first Sunday of May.

I started the work on Friday, arriving early in the morning with all my painting supplies. I began by sketching the outlines with chalk. By Friday evening, I had only managed to finish two drawings and fill color into just one dolphin. This meant the bulk of the work was left for the next day, which was going to be an incredibly tough task.

Anyway, the next morning, I arrived at the site early and started working at full speed. I was determined to keep the promise I made to the customer that I would complete inside area before the grand opening. My only regret was that due to the messy setup, I couldn't take proper photos or videos of the process.

I pushed through, starting at 8:00 AM, and by midnight, I was finally finishing up the last drawing. Just imagine what it feels like to paint continuously for 16 hours straight! The most interesting part? The very last drawing was actually a logo for a social media platform.

Finally, the entire indoor pool area was complete. I was so relieved and happy knowing that the opening could happen the next day as planned. All that was left was the work on the outdoor walls, which I wrapped up in just a few hours the following day. I’ve shared some pictures of my work in this post, including a few shots I managed to take while the guys were swimming. I know the photo quality isn't the best, and I apologize for that.

During the project, I also asked a friend to record a short video of me working. I’m sharing that video in this post as well, and I really hope you all like it!

You can comment which drawing you like most from the pictures i shared above.

This was really a last minute job and if you ask me way too much asked. How come they didn't start earlier? Are you paid by project or per hour?
I find the result amazing and it must be fun swim in a pool like that.

You are super and truly hope you will receive more customers.
Btw, is that the logo of Douyin?
I find the expression about Death and customers fascinating and will keep in mind customers also show unspectedly

Thank you so much for appreciating my work. To answer your question, they didn't start earlier because other work was going on there.
As for the payment for this job, it's pitty to say that skill isn't really valued here in Pakistan. People don't deeply understand the value of hard work, nor do they pay much. You'll be surprised to know that I got 50 dollars for this entire job, and that included my own materials. I wish I was paid by the hour, that would have been amazing :-)
And about the logo, I just made it myself, just a circle with water inside and the name of the pool on it.

I'm so glad you liked it. Stay blessed!

Thanks you So much Respected SteemCurators (@suboohi) Much Appreciated 👍
