Creative writing 04, *Surprise*

in The Creative Pulse7 days ago (edited)
Hello my steemian friends, and my Creative Pulse friends,

This story is not being written for any prize in this contest and it will not be considered by "Creative Pulse"

I can't wait for a contest when it is related to a story. And I will keep this entry out of the contest. Everyone has some surprising incident in their life.

My life is no different. Maybe we put coincidences and unexpected things in the category of surprise, like yesterday I commented on the surprising story of @aviral123 that it could be a coincidence. But she found surprise in it and it was her faith.

Now coming straight to my story, it is about 34-35 years old, I had a Maruti Van 5 seater, in which 2 people used to sit in the front and 3 people used to sit in the back.

One day at 10 pm my brother-in-law instigated me that we should go right now for the darshan of "Mata Vaishnoo Devi", there were a total of 8 people from me and my in-laws, while they could seat only 5 or 6. After I thought a little, my brother-in-law opened the rear seat of the van and removed it and there was enough space in the rear in which 6 people could sit on mattresses on the floor of the car.

And in our Hindu culture it is said that if the "goddess Vaishnoo Devi" has called you, then you have to go. And after 1 hour we left for the 700 km journey. In those days, I was the only one who knew how to drive a car, but I was very fond of long distance driving.

We crossed Jammu city {The temple situated in Katra the part of this district} within 27 hours by stopping all the way, there was still 20 km distance left in our journey. And the road was a risky hilly road, a traffic police had also advised us not to travel on this road at 1 o'clock in the night.

But I thought that since we are coming from such a long distance, we will reach further without any problems. But after driving for about 3 km, one of the car's tires got punctured on a deserted road in the middle of the forest and we saw that there was no air in the stepney tire as well. There were 3 women with us and they started getting scared thinking what will happen next.

I saw that nothing was visible far and wide and there was fog too. I gathered some courage and walked for about 250 meters hoping to find a roadside puncture shop. But here I found a truck parked on the side of the road, its driver and assistant were lying on the road. Perhaps there was some problem with their truck too.

I asked them what happened, will they help us in any way, they said that they too have a ready puncture, and they have woken up a puncture repairer in the fields in front to get the puncture repaired.

The driver and conductor were very good men. They removed both the tires of our car and gave them to the puncture repairer at the same time and our car was repaired.

We thanked both of them wholeheartedly. And then we completed the rest of the journey in just 25 minutes. But I was surprised entire my life whether God had specially sent those two to help us in that wilderness or God himself had come to help us.

But I never got any answer to this all my life.

I would also like to invite @drhira, @aviral123 , @josepha and @jyoti-thelight and @deepak94 here. Thank you for reading my post.

I pray to God for the progress and happy future of all steemians.

With lots of love and respect,

Sur-Riti❤️

Hi @sur-riti what an incredible story you have written!

It’s amazing how life throws us those unexpected twists and turns, isn’t it? It’s like you had a little guardian angel watching over you with those truck drivers coming to your rescue.

Thanks for sharing this experience with us.
