SC-33/W1| "pot painting and crafting"

Hope you all are well. Today I am participating in this beautiful challenge with my new creation. This time I tried to decorate a clay pot in a beautiful way. I always love things that involve reusing old items to give them a new and appealing look. Through this activity, a simple pot was transformed into a beautiful pen holder.

Material I used

Clay Pot
Black acrylic paint
The brush
Blue and gold glitter sheets
Scale
Pencil
Scissors
Cutter

✨ Step 1

First, I took an old clay pot which I found in my plants and cleaned it well so that the paint would easily stick to it.

✨ Step 2

Then apply two coats of black acrylic paint over the entire pot so that the color looks uniform and beautiful. Then left it to dry completely.

✨ Step 3

I created palm trees and small ornamental designs on the blue glitter sheet, while carefully cutting out the border, triangle strip and moon shape from the gold glitter sheet.

✨ Step 4

All the cut out designs are glued in order on the pot with the help of glue. The blue and gold colors were making a beautiful combination with the black background.

✨ Step 5

I finally cleaned the pot really well and used it as a desk organizer to hold my pens, pencils, markers, and scissors also little things.

The final result

My simple clay pot has now become a beautiful and unique pen holder. The glitter of the glitter sheets and the black color combination is making it more attractive. Now it is also adding beauty to my study table and is getting daily use as well.

Is it your first experience to painting on pot ?

No, this wasn’t my first time trying, but it was a new experience for me to design in this style using glitter sheets on a clay pot.It gave me a chance to learn a lot about cleaning, taking accurate measurements, and decorating.

Is playing with colour making you happy??

Yes, working with acrylic colors and crafts makes me really happy and pleased.There’s a big sense of satisfaction when an ordinary object becomes a beautiful master piece of art through using my hands, and that feeling encourages me to make more new creations like that.
