Update:

This unique film is based on a children's space book with the same name. Bayona's amazingly beautiful story is about a young boy facing a doomed future - the inevitable death of his terminally ill mother, Felicity Jones.

So sadness goes beyond this dramatic change in the novel of a respected adult.
The viewer will hear all about the 13-year-old Conor, as he tries to process what happened to his mother. The film has a sense of depressing emotion in it, as well as a complex, contradictory performance from the newcomer, Lewis MacDougall. I think a difficult title is the reason why this heartbreaking, irrational film doesn’t break down the way it should. A film about grief and the journey of grief is not just Hollywood entertainment.

With his big innocent eyes, MacDougall, he is taking on this role with more confidence than his age. There is a scene where Conor and his mother are watching a 1933 version of King Kong. Focusing on the giant, Conor is shocked by the defeat of King Kong. The viewer can see his little vision, the dawn, that things may not be going his way.

Conor's house is a mess but it is home and in a beautiful forest setting. On the contrary, in the darkness of his grandmother's house standing - he played well in the role outside of the Sigourney Weaver character.

Conor has an imaginary beast, narrated by the determined Liam Neeson, - an ancient tree spirit that visits midnight and presents three different stories, narrated by a rich watercolor cartoon, as a retelling of the last story from Conor - the story he faces. The design of this beast evokes the magic and visual ability of Guillermo del Toro, Pan’s Labyrinth - del Toro was the main producer of Bayona’s first feature program, The Orphanage.

It has had its extensive release alongside the opening of the Underworld blockbusters: Blood Wars, Hidden Numbers and the Lion. In its second weekend, it made $ 537,262 and in its third week it made only $ 19,080 after being released from all 42 theaters, one of the largest cinemas in history.

In this review it was worth the best. Be prepared to be emotionally drained when you watch this rich and rewarding movie.

Series Rating - The Monster Calls

The film showed and portrayed a love affair between a child and his mother that almost brought tears to my eyes, my score 7/10. The imagination of the media creator is beyond imagination. This film has touched almost every corner of my soul, I love the British people, but I love their climate even more.
