How Much Of "Science" Is Just Thrown Out When Aliens Arrive?
Right now, there is a "scientific" consensus that various things about the universe are true, or at least, logical:
- Atheism is a scientifically rational / logical point of view.
- That in order to reach earth, the aliens would have to expend massive amounts of energy.
- and that these aliens would travel as close to the speed of light as possible to arrive hear decades, maybe centuries, from when they left.
- That they would use radio waves to communicate, and that we would be able to pick up these communications, that traveled at the speed of light to get here.
- That life couldn't survive in solar systems with multiple suns, and so, we shouldn't bother looking for life in such systems.
- That the limitation on space travel is energy. And that advancement levels are measurable in energy production. (Got to build those Dyson Spheres)
- That technological advancement is all important
- That we could just take inventions from alien races to advance ourselves.
- …
It will be amazing and wonderful times when open contact starts. We are going to learn so much. Not really about technology (as many sci-fi stories rely upon) but how to think. We have logic-ed are way into tiny boxes that we will have to break out of.
Talking with aliens
We have so many sci-fi stories where the aliens come, and we ask, cajole, intimidate, trade, steal the alien's technology. And so, we expect our first communications to be all about such things.
We also have the words stuck in our brains, "Take me to your leader".
What if the aliens do not care about these things? Like, not at all.
"I was expecting you to say, 'Take me to your leader'"
"Why would we say that??? We came here to visit you. We selected you because you looked interesting (energetically speaking) and so we flying-saucered over to talk with you. Your 'leaders' already know about us, and they are really boring to talk to!"
And what if you ask the aliens for a free-energy device. And they give you a box… and it doesn't work for you?
Earth technology works on Earth. It may not work elsewhere. And, of course, Sci-fi stories often have a "ray" that makes human things stop working (like guns) (it is actually a field effect, and you can change the vibration in a certain area and such change the "science" that works there. like changing how fast gun powder burns. Take note, that this can be used as a protective shield for communities)
Basically, aliens are much more interested in how your life is going and how you are doing on your spiritual journey. As we are finding out, reality isn't that real. And so your adventures are much more meaningful than talking about the science of the non-existent.
Why haven't aliens come and visited?
Well, the Modern Materialistic Scientists believe it's a combination of
- They wiped themselves out
- We are the only race in the universe
- Absence of radio waves is evidence that aliens do not exist
- It costs too much energy to travel across the Milky Way.
- We are the most advanced species in the galaxy.
It couldn't be because:
- We shoot at anything that comes into "our" airspace
- We capture aliens, lock them up and never let them go
- We haven't worked out that… war, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing.
- Are thinking/wisdom hasn't advanced enough to interact with them yet.
And Modern Materialistic Scientists do not believe that ancient tribes, who are obviously technologically inferior, have had aliens visit, and the tribes have written/tell stories of them. All those Vedas, that even tell how to build a flying saucer, are all bunk. (they know this even though there are so many that haven't been translated yet)
Well, we are going to learn about what's what here soon.
So what parts of Modern Materialistic Science will be thrown out? Well, all of it.
But, the parts that will nixed just because aliens visit are mostly science fiction. We believe in Einstein's theory, which means that space travel consumes a lot of energy, and so we have told ourselves a story that aliens do not visit because space travel is hard.
Fermi's Paradox is buried beneath the orchids in the garden. We will be that ashamed of having penned that thing. And shame on us for believing it.
Occam's Razor is thrown out soooo hard.
And many other razors are thrown out too. The simplest theory that explains ALL the phenomena is probably the correct one. BUT! that is assuming that you know all the phenomena and that you actually can think logically. Just simple conversations with aliens will have us questioning both.
And, Star Trek is actually quite accurate prediction of the future, except the science part.
