What If, It Is Even More Important To Get Out?
This is a subject i keep coming back to, because i believe it is so very important. But, what if i am mistaken, and it is MORE important?
Of course cities are becoming worse and worse, especially blue cities.
Of course people are finding out their local politicians are even more corrupt than they thought.
And, of course, everyone expects some riots, especially in blue cities.
But the city can only be burned down once, and then things will go back to normal, right?
Wrong, things are never going back to normal.
And that is the thing.
The sooner you let go of the boat anchor, the better. You will drown if you don't.
Although that is true, even more important is.
The sooner you find your "family" / tribe, the better.
An overview of what is befalling us
The cities are falling apart… their infrastructure is brittle, the cohesiveness of the city's people is almost non-existent, the opportunities are drying up, stores are closing, restaurants are gone…
Another piece is that the financial system is coming undone. Because of too much debt, few are able to afford luxuries. Meaning, starting low imagination businesses are doomed. You can't afford to start a standard restaurant. You can't make it as a standard boutique. Dollar stores, soon to become Five Dollar stores will not survive long enough to make your money back. Basically, no one is coming to rebuild the cities.
The gangs will be taking over the cities. No go zones will be the east side, the upper east side, the south side, and all the other sides. This will make it even harder for businesses to operate.
With unCivil War coming, delivery system disruption, disease and famine, there will be nothing left in the cities.
Everything that seemed important is not anymore
Your expensive house in a nice neighborhood will soon be worthless. You will look back and think, why didn't i sell it in 2024? Later you will be thinking, why did i try so hard to keep up the mortgage payments?
Your job that you had for 20 years, and the reason you stated for not leaving the city, goes poof as the replace you with AI.
The night life is gone. The fine dining is gone. The safety is gone.
The good schools, the reason why you paid so much for the house you moved to, is found to be not so good. You would have been better off homeschooling a long time ago.
To stay close to your friends and family… this one may turn out to have been important, but only if they will help you starting a new community / homestead.
Basically, everything about keeping up with the Joneses, will seem like a silly waste of time.
The sooner you start growing food the better
Imagine that bacon is $20 per pound. Sure, ok, i can cut back on bacon.
Now imagine that bacon is even more, and you have to win a lottery to be able to buy it.
But it is not just bacon, although it becomes quite rare, meat become VERY expensive. You will be eating ze bugz unless you are crypto rich.
Their will be wheat shortages. (and all kinds of other food shortages) Meaning bread may be sold out early, if you store even gets its delivery.
Along with the shortages, if that isn't bad enough, people will be getting informed of all the toxins and poisons that are in our foods. So, now do you choose the bugz, the poisoned food, or starvation?
I hope you chose to grow food in your own greenhouse.
The biggest movement in this next decade will be the Great Migration.
Where people will move to be with their "family" / tribe. You will need your "family" / tribe to survive this coming change. You will need them for protection. You will need them for mutual support. You will need them to cover all the various aspects and jobs that need to be done to be self-sufficient.
I strongly suggest you listen to your gut. Use these feelings to guide towards your tribe. Nothing else matters more right now. The money in the bank will be gone; the banksters already stole everything. Your plans for retirement or going on vacations will be cut off. The old world is already gone, we just haven't recognized it.
Our new life begins with our chosen "family". We will get the belonging we have been searching so much for when we come together in intentional communities. We will find so much more meaningful lives knowing that we provide our own food and are capable of living self-sufficiently with our tribe.
So many people i talk to have an excuse of why they can't leave the city. Well, those excuses are going to be turned to dust. The tighter you try to hold onto the things that used to matter (that don't anymore) the more time you will waste. The future is bright. And your future is with your "family".
