RE: Corporations are Evil, By Design
Corporations are a tool just like a hammer or a knife. Any tool can be used for good or ill intent just as a hammer can be used to build things for people or bludgeon people. The root of the actual "evil" you are observing is the fiat money monopoly that enables reckless speculative behavior and regulatory and judicial capture of the government and courts by conglomerates. Without these government granted privileges corporations would always be held legally accountable for reckless and immoral behavior.
You are not incorrect, however, just having the inbuilt ability to externalize costs and internalize profits makes it a bad tool, and ripe for doing evil.
We need to be able to punish bad actions by corporations.
But, we can never get to the people that made the decisions.
The best we can do is punish lowly workers who were just following order to keep their job.
And the solution to that which has existed for centuries is judicial dissolution of criminal corporations and seize their assets. It's not used because of regulatory capture of govt and courts.
