How do you manage to travel with your mother and work at Steemit? You probably sleep 4 hours like Napoleon :)
4 to 6h although my motivation is much lower recently.
Great story - I get the feeling of the friend. When I was starting with backpacking trips and sleeping into the wild, every sound was making me terrified. Maybe I never run away like your friend, but in my heart, I was screaming a lot.
Now, I know that animals are afraid of us as much as we are afraid of them. If you were in a big group and if you were noisy, the bear probably would leave your route before you could see him. Bears attack only when surprised or extremely hungry, at least those in Poland.
Maybe it sounds ridiculous, but the most dangerous animals in my opinion are... insects. the mosquitoes, ticks, some spiders etc. Those can mess a lot!
You know, two months ago I applied for the Become a dolphin in the World of Xpilar Community initiative. The application is a comment to the article. Three hours after I wrote, in my opinion, a good and thorough comment, it received a 100% upvote from the steemcurator. At the time, it was $ 420 (actually more, as part is paid in SBD, well, you know).
I was shocked. I thought they liked my application so much and my intention to become a Dolphin.
My happiness lasted 17 hours. It turned out that this was a failure of the platform. After 17 hours, the steemcurator removed his vote and voted with 2%.
That's when motivation can really fall :)
This is exactly what we were trying to explain to our friend. But when a person is seized by fear, rational arguments do not work.
I remember that day. I know it was not the intention to give 100% upvotes to some users then (there was like 5 or 6 that received it and later lost it again), but the team could leave it like it is instead of downvoting everything and basically not upvoting anyone later for a whole day :)
