Hello Steemians, good evening. Welcome to my Diary section @abdulsamadyusuf .

Today was supposed to be full day work but rain had other plans for us. Let me take you through how my day went from morning till evening.

Today started very early for me. I left home by 7am because the weather was already showing signs of rain. My boss called me early so we could do something before rain falls. We didn’t want to waste the whole day, so we rushed to site immediately. The air was some how cold and clouds were gathering, but we were still hopeful.

First thing we did on site was remove the wood from the area we casted yesterday. The wood had served its purpose and now the concrete was strong enough. Now the doors can be fixed and roofing can start soon. After removing the wood, we invited the plumber to come and check the soakaway. He calculated estimate for the plumbing work and gave us advice on materials to buy. This part of the work is very important for the building.

From there we went to the block area where we are erecting the tank. We didn’t do much there - only raised it to about 6 couch for the tank. The work was going smoothly until serious rain started falling heavily. We had to stop everything immediately. We packed all materials, clothes and ourselves into the container to stay under shelter. We waited there for almost 3 hours watching the rain change our plans for the day.

When rain reduced a bit, we came back and mixed cement, sandstone, gravel and water together. But there was no container on site to collect rain water. So we went to the closet area where rain water had settled. We fetched up to 8 jerrican and carried it back to site.

We used part of the water to wet our already casted slab for the soakaway pit so it can stand properly. Then we poured mortar into the holes in the block so it can hold properly and become strong. The work was slow because of the wet ground, but we managed to do something before we were tired for the day.

This is what have noticed this particular season the weather can change any plan no matter how early you start. Even when we rushed to start yet it just little we could do. But I’m happy we were still able to do some part today, we removed the wood, started tank work and also wetted the casted slab. I just pray for the weather to be calm tomorrow so that we can complete the tank work, so that how my day went, Thank you for reading my Day 4 diary and see you guys tomorrow for another interesting part of my day.
