It’s such a bright and beautiful day, and while the festive mood is still in the air, I couldn’t resist sharing a little highlight from my recent outing. I attended a wedding not too long ago, and trust me, it was one of those days that turned into an unforgettable story.
The invitation came from church, so attending wasn’t even a question. Hubby and I had already planned ahead the day before, excited about witnessing the church wedding and later joining in the fun at the reception. Everything was perfectly mapped out or so we thought.
On the wedding day, just as we were getting ready, we were hit with an unexpected setback electrical challenge, An electrician had to be called, and what we assumed would take just an hour stretched into several hours. Time flew, plans shifted, and before we knew it, we were already running late. Still, we were determined to honour the invitation. Once the electrician was done, we quickly dressed up and set out.
We arrived at the church only to find that the wedding ceremony had already been concluded.

From there, we were directed to the reception venue. It took about an hour before the reception finally kicked off, but the wait was worth it. The moment the bride and groom were ushered in, the atmosphere changed instantly joy filled the hall, and the dance floor came alive as guests joined them in celebration. Watching them dance in love and happiness was truly beautiful.

The MC added spice to the event with his comedy keeping everyone entertained, while selected guests were invited to the high table. Then came the food simple, satisfying, and well enjoyed. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay till the very end because I still had a few shopping errands to run for the next day, and it was already getting late.

Before leaving, we met the bride and groom, congratulated them properly, presented our gifts, and then headed to the supermarket to pick up a few items. By the time we got home, darkness had fully set in.
I quickly prepared dinner for my family, and after such a long and eventful day, we finally retired to bed.

It truly was one heck of a day unexpected turns, tight timing, and all but I am grateful we were still able to make it to the reception and share in the couple’s joy. Some days may not go exactly as planned, but they still leave us with beautiful memories to cherish 💕.
